Women with ADHD 1.0 Skills Group

Build practical skills. Gain confidence. Connect with women who get it.

ADHD can affect much more than your ability to pay attention. Planning your day, deciding what comes first, getting started, managing emotions, following through, and keeping up with everyday responsibilities can sometimes require far more effort than other people realize.

You don’t have to figure all of that out alone.

The Women with ADHD 1.0 Skills Group is a 10-week program designed to help women with ADHD better understand how ADHD affects everyday life while developing practical skills and strategies they can begin applying in the real world.

You’ll learn in a supportive, educational and engaging environment alongside other women who understand what it can feel like when things that appear simple to everyone else don’t always feel simple to you.

About the Women with ADHD 1.0 Skills Group

This group focuses on building life and executive functioning skills that are commonly challenging for women with ADHD.

Rather than simply talking about ADHD, the group provides opportunities to better understand your own patterns, develop strategies that work for you, and practice skills that can support everyday life.

The group also creates something that’s difficult to replicate on your own: connection with other women who truly “get it.”

What We’ll Work On

Practical Skills for Everyday Life With ADHD

Planning & Prioritizing

When everything feels important, deciding what deserves your attention first can become its own challenge. We’ll work on skills that can help make planning and prioritizing more manageable.

Initiation & Getting Started

Knowing what needs to happen doesn’t always make starting easier. The group addresses initiation and strategies for moving from intention into action.

Emotional Control

ADHD can affect how quickly and intensely emotions are experienced. We’ll work on greater awareness and skills for responding to emotional reactions in everyday situations.

Inhibition

Sometimes the challenge isn’t knowing what you should or shouldn’t do—it’s creating enough space between an impulse and an action to make a different choice.

Skill Building & Support

Understanding ADHD is useful. Learning how to apply that understanding to everyday life is where change can begin. The group combines education with practical skill development in a supportive environment.

Connection With Women Who “Get It”

You may have spent years trying to explain why certain things are difficult or wondering why they seem easier for everyone else.

Being around other women with ADHD can provide an opportunity to learn, share experiences, and recognize that you aren’t the only person navigating these challenges.

This Group May Be a Good Fit If…

This is where I would begin incorporating the lived-experience language we’ve already been developing for ProADHD, because it connects the landing page to the same Visibility Infrastructure™ we’re building through social content.

Someone shouldn’t need to understand the term “executive functioning” before recognizing that the group may be relevant to them.

For example:

  • “I know what I need to do, but I don’t know how or where to start.”
  • “I feel overwhelmed constantly.”
  • “I’m always trying to catch up.”
  • “I know I should be doing more, but I can’t seem to get started.”
  • “I lose track of time.”
  • “My life feels like chaos.”
  • “I get irritated by things that seem small.”
  • “I know I have a lot to offer, but I never seem to measure up to what others expect.”
  • “Why is this so difficult for me?”
  • “I feel like no one understands how my brain works.”
