Janet Grove

Janet Grove is an experienced ADHD coach who loves watching her clients blossom and become their best versions of themselves.

Officially, the Fargo, N.D., practitioner is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Certified ADHD-Rehab Services Provider with 20+ years of experience and a magnitude of continuing education courses under her belt.

Unofficially, Janet says she loves working with people with ADHD because they are bright, creative, resilient thinkers who amaze her with their wonderfully original brains.

Janet knows a thing or two about resiliency herself. She’s a former rancher’s daughter who has survived … years of North and South Dakota winters as well as the adventures of raising 2 teenagers,including a teen-age son who is now taller than she is. She brings that inner strength, along with considerable professional knowledge and an encouraging “can do” attitude, to every coaching session. Bonus: She also has a fantastic sense of humor, which can come in handy during the demands of learning new cognitive and executive functioning skills.

Janet says one of the favorite parts of ADHD coaching is watching clients figure out the pieces, then build the right skills to “do life” more effectively. Her work is never dull as no two clients are the same. She’s found incredible rewards in watching men and women who once felt like failures discover new life hacks to turn their lives around and suddenly accomplish things they once never thought possible. All they needed was a coach and cheerleader to help them reach their goals.

Regardless of the diagnoses or adversities that her clients have faced, Janet reminds them there are always new beginnings ahead.

“Wherever you are at,” she says, “you can always change your story.”

In Janet’s down time, you will likely find her having a good laugh with friends or family, husband Brent, and children Megan and Lucas. (More often than not, these gatherings will include coffee and chocolate.) She also enjoys the outdoors, prettying up her flower beds (weeding is therapeutic!), relaxing at the lake, or taking long walks with her black lab, Jake.
